Different habitancy have distinct answers. Some habitancy say that walking after eating is good for your health and also help you lose weight. But some others believe that post-eating walking does harm to your digestive system.

Then which is right? Should you walk or not after a meal?

In my opinion, you should walk.

Why? Because it help you keep fit and stay in sharp. Don't you see most of the fat guys always sit there watch Tv, deal with daily office work, play video games, surf the internet and even go to sleep for hours after meal? This is one of the reasons why they're fat. Inactivity is always a major cause of weight gain. And once come to be fat, it as a matter of fact lead to many other illnesses.

So, walking after a meal is recommended.

But you need to do it the right way. Walk immediately after eating is wrong. Because the digestive ideas need more blood to help suck in the food you ate. If you walk instantly, the blood will goes to other organs, this is not good for digestion and absorption, and some habitancy may feel like vomiting & dizzy.

Now you may ask when is the right time to go for a walk?

Before walking, you have to give about thirty itsybitsy to an hour (or even more time, it depends on the someone and what you have eaten) to let the digestive ideas suck in the food and suck in the nourishment you intake. After this short rest, you can go for a thirty itsybitsy light walking. This is the salutary way to walk after eating.

To sum up, walking after a meal is recommended, but you should do it right. After eating, you had good take a short rest to get the food digested, then go for a slow stroll, this is not only good for your health but also can help you keep in sharp.

This week, I have cut out processed food, with the exception of my nondairy creamer for the coffee. I walked 4.25 miles per day, at a 3.5 - 4 mph pace. I still gained 2 pounds. I am very upset. The only thing I probably did wrong is not counting calories. I counted calories one day, and was well within my limit - 1600 calories by the day's end, which is what was recommended by myfitnesspal, and so I ate about the same thing every day. This next week, I will count calories every day, and try not to eat any carbs after 2pm. We will see what happens!
